Love Mancl! She's great! Whoever posted that negative post must've just gotten a bad grade. Mancl is a blast! I had her as my first night class and had a blast every week! Our class was pretty awesome in itself, but a lot of it was because of Mancl getting us all involved together. She's a blast! She always has great stories even though she thinks we don't want to hear them. She is always willing to help you with your speech and she teaches you all about proper poise and such too. There were always at least 5 people just hanging out after class talking with Mancl just about anything. You'll learn a lot about speeches with her and she'll make you more comfortable with giving speeches. Overall, Mancl is an amazing professor so TAKE HER!

I don't know how anyone can't like Anne and her class. Speech 110 was super easy with her and she took time to help us with all of our speeches. TAKE HER AND YOU WON'T REGRET IT! Great teacher. Awesome person. Always enthusiastic and class went by suprisingly fast. Our grades were consisted of 3 main speeches, our final was a improv speech which was easily graded and there were a coupple small, simple assignments. Even if you're dreading giving speeches you'll be okay in this class

I knew Anne from high school and I thought that she was great back then. This is the second college class I've had with her and I love having her as a teacher. She's part of the reason that I switched my major to Interpersonal Communication. She is always willing to help any of her students with any problems and makes class fun and enjoyable to attend. Who ever doesn't like her has a serious issue.

I have NO idea what the guy below me posted that for! Anne Mancl is the Shiz! The speeches are super easy, she lets you pick whatever topic you want... and you'd be surprised how easy it is to talk for 8 minutes about something. She doesn't grade hard, she rarely gives quizzes (I think we've only had 2)no exams! and our final is a ONE minute impromptu speech... that we get a week to prepare for (so not really impromptu at all) It is impossible to fail this class, and she is interesting, funny, and the only reason she'd keep you late for class is if someone is still presenting... in which case blame the speaker not the teacher!

This stupid woman seems to think that her time is far more valuable than her student's time, as evidenced by her keeping us all after class every day. She is incredibly disorganized. We haven't ever done half of the things listed on the rubric. Overall I would say do NOT take this teacher, she's a complete fool.
