Professors: Respond to evaluations by creating an account
I really like Prof. Rasheed, but he moves far too fast in lecture. He blows through concepts that are completely new to us and doesn't allow enough "breathing time" to let stuff sink in. When working through problems on the overhead projector, he just speeds through numbers and we don't have time to really think about stuff -- it's all we can do just to copy the material down in our notes. He does care about his students, though -- he goes out of his way to help people do well. But most students don't want to put in the 2 to 3 hours a night of studying that he says we should do to be successful in class. I understand that the material is challenging, I just think it'd be a little less so if he'd just take a breath during lecture once in a while and let our brains catch up with our pens!
All I can say is that when a class avarage on a test of 100 students is 40%, you know there is something wrong.
