This Just in: Dr. Whitcomb is the worst person in any profession ever! Don't take him even if he is the last man on earth. Four words sum up this man- No talent ass clown.

Heaven help us all with this man. Taking his class is like having your pubic hairs removed one by one by a rabid ring tailed lemur. To all of you suckers: good luck with this guy

I had him for an Intro to Classical Music course, which Music Majors and minros are not allowed take. With a potential lack of musical background from the students in his class, I think that the tests, especially the sheer numbers of composers and listening examples was a little far out there. Also, his selection from the listening examples was generally geared toward telling the difference between Symphonies by the end of the class, though he had us studying Piano Sonatas, Violin Concertos and vocal pieces. I also think that he should change the 5 concert review requirement to include a report on a composer, and some sort of group project.
