Charlie knows so much about ceramics, both in style, architecture, and technical aspects. He is passionate, and always willing to share ideas/tips. Will always lend a helping hand if you need one. He also has an amazing ability to disappear instantly, and just as mysteriously as he goes, he is back. He might have a thing against mustaches on certain pieces of work though...

He is overall a good professor. His beginning ceramics classes are easy as long as you get the work in on time and it looks decent you will get an A. He is quite laid back, he reminds me of an old hippy from the 60’s. If you are thinking of taking ceramics as your emphasis you better be passionate about it otherwise you will struggle in his class. I have had him for ceramics I, II, III and technical ceramics. He knows everything and anything about ceramics though. But if you don’t show up to his class he can seem a little scary so have good attendance with him! Out of all the studio professors I have had he is defiantly the most knowledgeable. But if you are going to take him for tech he is a little disorganized and the notes are not always clear. But like I said before he is good so you should try to have him as a studio professor if you can. HIs class is nice because he lets you experement and do almost anything you would want to do. Also his choice of clothing is interesting at times, like his NSYNC shirts…..yeah those always add a little spice to the class.

My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard. They're like, "It's better than yours." Damn right, it's better than yours. I could teach you but I'd have to charge.
