Choton Basu

By far the best professor I had, he teaches with passion and really wants students to do well in his class. Not only do well but learn current technologies and be updated about what's happening in the world of technology. He motivates his students a lot to be creative through the group project we had to do. This class changed my life I would say. It is definitely a class I recommend to any Business student.Dr. Basu is an excellent professor who is easy to talk to and would give a lot of his time to students. Good listener too, which is something rare in professors. TAKE HIM!

Easy to talk to. If you have a problem or need more time is willing to be flexible. Group projects were sort of a pain, but easy grade. Lets you know exactly whats going to be on test and then gives you 95% of answers week before. Now if only all ITBE classes were this easy...

very interesting lectures...even though they have very little to do with the actual class material, group projects and having the questions to the tests before you take them makes this class very easy

Ok, in response to the guy below: yeah it is somewhat odd how he never gets grades back to us, but he is a really decent teacher. He really knows what he's talking about, and he relates everything to the real world. He has some new, different ideas about teaching, some of the good, and some not so great. But I would suggest taking him, at least for ITBE. He will do everything in his power to get you an A in the class.

Be careful here! I was duped into taking Basu based on these ratings here...totally off. This guy has a cult following here at Whitewater, those people will defend him tooth and nail no doubt, but wow, not good at all!! He's constantly behind on everything, deadlines are always off. Is this because he's such a cool prof and nice like that? No, he just doesn't have any idea what's actually going on, nor do I think he really cares. This class is all-around unenjoyable. I laughed looking back at the ratings on the website here. I've at least two other groups in the class that think this guy is totally whack. Me and several other people in the class are starting to call him Choton Duck because of how much of a quack he really is. I know there are those who will read this and completely disagree, but I do have a feeling that the majority agree with me. Where is the data? We need information! Why aren't you writing more business proposals? Simons Model! umm...Earth to Choton...I mean God, not everyone at Whitewater desires to be CEO of Basu Enterprises.
