She makes class very interesting, but she doesnt necessarily teach enough of what she tests on. She focuses so much on hands on that she looses some of the actual core content I think. Overall she does a good job though making sure that students are up in front of the class getting experience teaching a health lesson.

Cristy is not a bad person, I think she just has trouble relating to students....overall I was not a fan of the class, but it's really easy to get an A. Just follow the rubrics EXACTLY and you will do fine.

Dr. Jefson is an excellent prof. See shows a passion for teaching and health. I wanted to clear some things up that over people have said here about her. First, she doesn't get to teach a whole lot in her classes because the class is designed to prepare students to be future teachers. Wouldn't the class be pointless for her to teach the whole time, trust me she doesn't need the experience, us as future teachers do. Some say that her tests are too hard or that she is too picky. Wrong again, if you go to the study session she asks plays a game (hollywood squares) and usually reads questions right off the exam, if you take notes you can get at least 70-75% of the questions correct. She teaches many things that future teachers can really use, like varying teaching styles. Lecture gets boring, you and I both know that. She is extremely organized, and creative. Be ready to do something in class or discuss everyday, she involves everyone. Ask her for help she is down to earth and understands what it is like to be a student. Awesome Professor, one of the best at this school. Loves health and loves teaching.

For a 2 credit class, she makes it a lot of work. There is no daily assignments and only like 2 or 3 things to do outside of the 3 tests and the project. The first and final test are in class and the second one is a take home exam. Then there is also one group presentation. My group put a ton of work into ours and it definitly showed in our grade. Cristy seems sweet and like she'd be an awesome teacher but she hardly does any teaching. I'd say about 3/4 of the class is students teaching the content of the class. Kinda her easy way out of having to teach. After taking her first exam I was shocked in how much little detail she wanted. After getting them back I was even more shocked in how harsh of a grader she was. She's definitly picky and you have to say exactly what she wants or you won't get credit for it.

She is super organized and creative- the activities are really cute and would be fun to do with kids. However, her exams are very difficult, and she is very meticulous in her grading- but she is fair. I got a lot of resources from the presentations and learned a lot from this course. It will be a lot of work, but in the end it will seem worth it.
