I just did not like this prof. sweet woman outside of class but awful prof. SUCK UP as if your life depends on it otherwise you are screwed. Good luck if you absolutely have to take her.

Professor Vandegrift is not a bad professor, she just tends to give out many time consuming readings only to then discuss them for about 3 minutes tops. If you pay attention though, its an easy B at the least.

She is one of my favorite professors!! Her class is fairly easy if you do your work and study for exams!! She does a good job of mixing up the class by giving notes, putting the class in groups, and showing movies. She seems to be one of the few professors that actually cares about her students!! I think everyone should take her class!!

I really don't have anything bad to say about her. I took her for Race and Ethnic Relations and it's ok. There's a LOT of reading assignment, from two different books, and article, but most of it is interesting and easy to read. She talks kind of fast which can get annoying, but she manages to explain things pretty well. Her tests are ok (multiple choice) and she'll give a curve, but not necessarily a huge one. There's a group project, which is kind of a pain in the ass. She's really open to discussion and everything, so you're not afraid to talk to her. If you're willing to work and read a bit to pass her tests, she's a good teacher to take. There are inclass activities that are a good part of your grade, so make sure to know when they are and show up. Good luck.
