I had Dar for child development. This class was very easy, and mostly enjoyable. Basically, every day had the same format- you go to class and sit in groups that she assigns you to be in, there will be a discussion question on the overhead that you'll discuss with your group and then the class, and then for the rest of the time, she will pull out phases or keywords from the readings and talk about them. You honestly never have to read what is assigned. I never did. As long as you study the study guide she gives you, which has all the concepts on it for the test, you will get a good grade. You'll have to study hard though, the test is extremely easy. Other than that, you do about 2 long papers and one group project. Most days she beings lollipops to class, and if you get done early she'll let you leave. She's a really nice lady, the only downfall is that she is very monotoned and seems just as bored as we are to be there. The class isn't exciting really, but its not hard.

Dar is not bad, but extreamly boaring. Her lectures are painful to sit through, it doesn't help that she shows no excitement whatsoever for the subject matter. She does not clearly explain what she expects of paper which makes them hard to write. Her tests can also be difficult.

Despite the negative comments above her class didn't feel overwhelmingly challenging or easy. It was just the right amount of challenge/ease. It also seemed as if she didn't want to waste your time - she said what she needed to and you were outta there, so while at times I felt I missed out on instructions or other deeper explanations, what did I really care since -hey we got out early. I will note that she seemed to care alot about her students and listened quite intently if you had a problem or issue and she was always-always very understanding in an above and beyond kinda way.

Dar is great! She is very caring and definitely shows a love of teaching! I would definitely recommend this professor!

Dar was a great teacher. She makes you put forth effort in your work, but if you study, you will do fine. Her class was a lot of fun!
