I took Intro to Weather and Climate online during the summer of 2010. Since I'm a business major, I needed a lab science to full fill my general requirements. I didn't want to take a lab science during the spring or fall because they usually include a lab and a lecture. With taking this during the summer and online, it took less time then it would have in the spring/fall. If I were you I'd do the same. As far as Dr. Travis as a teacher, he was great. Class consisted of a few lecture videos each week and labs in a work book. Tests were on D2L (obvious, its an all online course) and fairly simple, however they were composed of 15 short answer question. I have attached a syllabus. Take this course with Dr. Travis.

Dr. Travis is a great professor. He is extremely knowledgable in the subject matter, and always willing to help. He even helped me receive a scholarship that helps pay my tuition!

Alright, I have taken this class twice. First time with Goldblum, which didn't go well ... I didn't like him as much. The second time around I had Travis, and although I still did bad, it wasn't his fault, it was mine ... he is a very good teacher, one of the best here at Whitewater in my opinion.

Great teacher! I have nothing negative to say about him! He made class enjoyable and explained everything very well!

Dr. Travis is a really good professor. The only problem I had with him was he was not always in his office during office hours. He is an associate dean and a professor so that is kind of hard to deal with. If you make appointments with him and notify him far enough in advance he'll be there and he will help you out!
