Professor Fratz is definately interesting. Although she had a rough semester personally and would rather be a comedian at that time, she really tried to teach the material in an effective matter. She always involved us in class discussions about the readings we read for that class period, so if you don't follow the syllabus, you won't know what to read. Also, she has pop quizzes once in a while, so make sure that you are reading. We also had to write 5 papers for that class. Sometimes, the way she explained how to do it was confusing because she didn't want us to "b.s." papers, but once you get used to that new writing style, it got easier.

Very helpful, changed assignments when we complained they were boring. Does anything for her students and very funny! Even through tragedy this semester she always made us laugh.

The best English class I've had during my time at Whitewater. I learned so much from Professor Fratz, but you need to be open to changing your writing style in order to do well in the class. My paper grades improved in my other classes after taking 271. She is a hard grader, but very fair. She picks interesting writing topics and reading selections. Take this class.

Nice teacher, homework and readings are usually easy, but she grades papers pretty hard. She also starts everyones grade out at a C. Good person, but do not take if you want an A.
