Denis Dale

Dale is a decent professor. Doesn't really try to get students excited about the assignments or encourage them to do better. We get a lot of work time on projects but he doesn't really tell you much to work on.

overall the only thing I can complain about him, is that he talks to much. He tends to ramble on and ramble far after he has made his point clear to the class. But you can tell that he wants to be there, and enjoys teaching.

Dennis is a nice guy and his projects are very interesting, but sometimes he seems arrogant. He assumes that his students know a lot about the technology before coming into his class. I have learned more from my classmates than from him as a professor.

I believe that Dennis is one of the most dedicated pofessors in the Art department. Any problem that I had during my winterim was quickly solved by him. If there was a question he couldn't answer, he would tell you straight up that he doesn't know, thats a far cry different from other professors who'll bullshit their way though something they dont know. He grades fairly and made the 2 1/2 weeks of labwork enjoyable.

When I first decided my journalism major wasn't enough to me, and I chose to revisit my love for art with a graphic design double major, I couldn't find my art advisor, and Denis Dale came to my rescue, and advised me himself. He was absolutely thrilled to hear of my passion for art and highly encouraged me to pursue the BFA program, which I am. I had him over winterim for Computer Graphics for the Artist and loved the class, its content and the professor. He lets us do our work, allows us to make our own creative decisions with a few helpful tips, and is so enthusiastic about graphics. I can't wait to have him for future classes, especially digital photography. While he seems to have a face of stone, he is actually a very funny guy, and I enjoy his own artwork.
