I just took a test that I doubt I got anything right on. His powerpoints are horrible and don't teach you anything. When he shows "how to work out a problem" in class it is pretty much just the question and answer - no formulas or instructions on how to get there. Plus he has the text so small it is almost impossible to read. The guy that gave him a "B" for ease is crazy. I have studied so hard for the first two tests and will still be lucky to pass. I am looking forward to losing my summer internship in order to retake this class from a different professor.

I don't have a lot of good to say about him. He does know the info for the most part but does use the powerpoints from the textbook company as others have said. However, he will help you as much as he can (ONLY during his office hours, though). His assignments wouldn't be hard IF he would actually teach us the material. Since he doesn't, most people have to teach themselves from the book. The tests are impossible. He tells us what to study, but then those things don't come up on the test. I bet he couldn't even pass his own tests. One day I was in his office and another student was asking questions on a past test, and on every question Bockstiegel had to look up the answer in the book ... and we don't even get to use the book on the tests! Classes are boring, he reads the notes right off the slides and also puts them online. Don't take him unless you already know all the material and the class would be a review for you. I'd only wish this guy on my worst enemy ...

Uses powerpoints in class straight from the textbook company... seems as if material was not reviewed before class. On many occations he would disagree with powerpoints. Does not teach the material... he literally reads the powerpoints to you. Kind of a waste of time in class... I learned everything on my own. Has a high test curve due to poor scores. If you actually want/need to learn the material take a different professor!!

Do not waste your money on this course! This is the worst professor I have ever had! It seems that this professor understands the material will himself, but is clueless when it comes to teaching it. He has no understanding of what students need to actually learn the material. I've had to spend all semester teaching myself from the textbook. If you care at all about your education, do NOT take this professor!
