Professor Barton likes to yell at students for past students' mistakes. He also wastes at least an hour of lecture every class period and squeaks a dog toy at students who are talking. Unfortunately, he is unavoidable for the MPA program at UWW.

He is really random. Get ready to waste a lot of time in class. Have fun with his emails, they are pretty funny. The class isn't bad, quizzes and tests are just like the homework. Everything is open note so there is no reason to do poorly unless you don't show up to class

Professor Barton is a very good professor. He tells many interesting stories, which takes away from the boredom that is tax accounting. He has an effective lecture method, and as long as you review the homework, his exams are fairly easy. He is a very nice person to talk to outside of class, and will always respond to e-mails very quickly. Barton is one of the best professors in the department I feel. I feel that my college career would not have been complete without having Barton. He is great.

Dr. Barton is an interesting character, for sure. The exams are easy and the homework reflects the exams well. His lectures are dry, and his stories are strange, but without a doubt he genuinely cares about the students.
