She was very helpful in the lab and laid back about safety restrictions. She taught the concepts well so I felt well prepared for the exams. If you stay later than everyone else, you'll actually get to chill with her for a while and realize she's pretty cool. I'd definitely recommend her for lab. She's the best option.

She's a great professor. The quizzes help you realize what you need work on. The tests can sometimes be hard but the questions are fair. She grades very gently and gives curves when they are needed. I would definitely recommend her!

I love the Kume. I enjoyed her accent, and how she says certain words or pauses in mid sentance or mid word to either think or catch her breath. She's a great lady, and knows her stuff. I loved her willingness to help outside of class w/ help sessions or office hours. She really cares about her students and wants you to do well. Watch how excited she gets when she talks about organic synthesis, you can just feel the love!

Kumpaty was a hard professor for me at first. However, once you get used to her accent you'll become more comfortable. I had her for both organic lectures and lab, and she will work with you when you need help or in my case, I had surgery and a death in the family all in one semester and she was very helpful in my catching up. She can be boring at times, however, she isn't that difficult of a grader and the tests are fairly reasonable. Just prepare, read your text, practice problems, and you'll do fine in the class.
