Hissimmi Traore
University of Wisconsin - Whitewater
Department:
Chemistry
Professors: Respond to evaluations by creating an account
Traore is an awesome guy, probably one of my favorite professors personality wise. He's really funny and he clearly knows his stuff about Chemistry. The problem is that he isn't the best at sharing that knowledge. He doesn't explain things clearly and rarely understands students questions so almost never answers them completely. He also gets really frustrated when the class doesn't understand something. He skips over any slides in the notes that would actually link Chemistry to real life and might possibly help us to understand better. It is possible to do good in his class, just attend, he gives out a bit of extra credit for attendance. Just make sure you read the book and try to learn as much from it as possible and go over his practice exams since they will most likely reappear on the exam!
He is a nice person but a bad professor! he is late to class alot, his tests are horrible (because there are usually always multiple mistakes and they are either to long, or you dont know what to expect, or both). he is also sometimes hard to understand, however his handwriting is good.
Positive:
Is willing to help students anytime
Shows a love of teaching
Negative:
Is a bad professor
Confusing or hard to understand
Notes/lecture is confusing
Professor Traore is one of the nicest professors i have ever had and tries very hard but he is just a ad teacher. he does a lot of example problems in class but never finishes them and assumes that you know the stuff. the tests always have mistakes and are never very clear. if you take this class, which i don't recommend, be prepared to do a lot of work outside of class.

Worst professors I've ever had!
I can't believe this professor is the chair of chem. He is the most orgainized person I've had in a long time, and makes no sence. Luckily I got a C and I'm good at chem. Many people failed this class. Tests are hard, make no sence, and filled with MANY errors, I think his 2nd grade kid makes them. Im sorry if your like me and forced to take this class, if your smart u'll skip class and just read the book...u'll learn more.

Worst professors I've ever had!
I had him for Chem 102 and every in the class is a review for me yet I have no idea what grade I am getting because every and I mean every test he gives has mistakes which cause the results to be off and then he doesn't even keep up to date on the grades so you don't even know if he has fixed the test grades. He is very enthusiastic and seems to like to help but he sometimes seems like he doesn't know what he is talking about. He also likes to give really long explanations of where equations come from and how to derive them rather than actually teach you what they mean and how to use them.
