I had Dr. Botts for Gegraphy 261 - Geography of the U.S. and Canada. He has a very casual and relevant style of teaching that immediately puts students at ease. If coarse language/subject matter easily offends you, this professor may not be the best for you, because he does use profanity, and will joke about topics such a drinking; however, that is one of the main reasons that I gravitated towards him. It gives the classroom a very relaxed atmosphere. Indeed, his anecdotes are absolutely hilarious, and are usually rather relevant. He gives out two or three 'pop quizzes', but all that he asks is that you draw a picture, or something similar. The tests are not too difficult in you take any time to study, and every question is on the study guides that he e-mails about a week before each exam. We were let out of class no less than 15 minutes early each day, and there is no comprehensive final. I received an 'A' without too much effort.

It's not easy making a class fun ans interesting everyday. But Dr. Botts accomplishes this task every day!

I only missed his class once and I'm not going to lie, I was very mad that I did. His class was probobly the highlight of my day, and I learned a lot

If you want to listen to funny stories all class take him! we dont have class alot either because hes always traveling. he shows lots of pictures and makes the whole class belly laugh every day.
