A wacko!! I feel like writting a 20 page paper about her. She's not worth the trouble for a 3 credit course like WOI. Take anybody else!!

Basically put, WOI is a 3 credit class that she turns into an 8 credit class. We had to buy $60 worth of materials from the bookstore AND a subscription to TIME magazine and we never even read half the material...which is ironic because the discussion over the semester was how POOR THE ECONOMY IS DOING!!! (and yet we spent all the money for her to have a class)..we recommended her trying to use D2L to upload the articles, but she wouldn't have any of that! No tests or quizzes but one big-a** 10 page MINIMUM paper which usually turns out to be around 18-20 pages. Her directions are unclear and her readings are old and somewhat pointless...if you feel like doing "busy work" then by all means...take her, but you've been warned!

Dr. Schwarz is amazing. She is extremely tough and really makes you work for your grade. That being said, I have never learned so much from a professor in my entire time in college. She is a lawyer by trade so she certainly knows the material. I feel like this is the ONE class that will honestly prepare me for law school. She's a hard one, but she will help in any way. I recommend her, but be warned that you will have to work and will probably feel like you're struggling the whole time.... which is a good thing!

I had her for World of the Ideas...a lot of work, but she gives the grade you deserve. just participate and keep up with the readings. even though it was one of my toughest classes, i learned the most in it...she incorporates current events, law, women's studies, and history all into one. take this class if you actually want to learn something and get your money's worth!

Her cell phone rings at least once a week during class.
