Linda Robinson
University of Wisconsin - Whitewater
Department:
Journalism
Professors: Respond to evaluations by creating an account
It is very difficult to say something positive about my experiences in her class. She requires you to write timelines that don't teach you anything but dates. When exams are all essays and LONG answers, knowing that the telegraph was invented in 1843 does nothing for you. Basically she teaches things that she likes about the history of TV, movies, and so on. Well... she does have a lot of random memorabilia...
Linda is a really nice professor. There are NO tests just 4-5 homework assignments (papers) due throughout the semester. She takes attendance but if you have a good excuse it is excused. You don't take many notes at all. Everyday you'll get with a partner and write a certain type of story, then the next day you will read and discuss them in class. Pretty easy, but somewhat a hard grader.
