Linda Yu

Professor Yu is a decent professor. I am not sure what the goals are of the Corporate Finance 444 class. It seemed like a very general review of the Investments 345 course and the Intro 344 course. With that being said, I feel that the class was an easy "A". While I did not learn very much and it wasn't a very worthwhile class, I still would recommend Yu as a professor.

Professor Yu's Intro Finance course is fairly straight-forward. Her course if very boring; she also does not teach the material in an effective way. Despite these shortcomings, the course is easy enough to perform decently in.

Let me start out by saying that this class is pointless. It's pretty much another accounting class and as a non-business major that had to take this class for his major, I did not like it and found the material to be redundant and therefore like a complete waste of my time. I thought Linda Yu would be a pretty good professor, and she definitely tries, but falls short. The only thing that's on the exams are the PowerPoints, so you can not go to class and still do good enough on the exams to get through with a good grade. She does give some examples that are not in the powerpoints, but they're so painfully obvious and easy to figure out that they serve little point. My complaints are not really with the professor, but the class. If you have to take finance, then might as well take it with Linda Yu because she's pretty easy.

Dr.Yu is an excellent teacher. Her class is easy to follow but still challenging.. Enjoy her class very much...
