It is glaringly obvious the UW-Whitewater is understaffed and cannot accommodate the number of students in the Accounting program. Ms. Hafemeister's lectures are extremely rushed. She upbraids the students who ask questions. Students, be prepared to be displeased.

Lynn is an amazing professor! She will go out of her way to help students with any questions accounting or careerwise. I took Lynn for both Intermediate 1 and Intermediate 2 which I would recommend taking both with her because she prepares you for Intermediate 2 and you can become familiar with her teaching style. Another thing that makes her such an excellent professor is she has so much professional experience in the accounting world and gives you extra tibits of knowlodge of the real world in her lectures.

Seriously, probably the best professor I have ever had. Took both intermediate 1 and 2 with hafemeister, with 2 being over summer. She knows the material, has had great success in the accounting field, and is as much of a mentor as a professor in my mind. She is CONSTANTLY open to visits in her office, and is always willing to pause class to answer any questions. You would be doing yourself a disservice to take any other teacher. Like others have said, you have to try, but you will be shocked by how much practical knowledge you will gain from her class.

Lynn is a very tough professor. She is the only one that teaches Intermediate II and for good reason. One of the reasons WW has such a high pass rate on the CPA is because of this woman. Her goal is to weed out the students who "want" to be accountants from the students who DESIRE to be accountants. She definitely weeds out the men from the boys. Is willing to meet with you anytime, however. If you go in and see her a lot and are very participative in classes, she will know you are committed to her class and will make your life a little easier in the class.
