Margarita Alario

Dr Alario is very difficult to understand and we had to waste an entire class just to find out what her syllabus meant. There was one major project that was to be done and our section found it to be over the top. She asked for a 10 source annotated bibliography citing 2 books, 2 internet sources, 6 peer reviewed articles. each annotation was 250 words. The good thing is that she gave us time to get it done. You defiantly earn your grade in this class.

this isnt a hard class but you may have a hard time understanding her because she doesnt always understand what your asking and her accent is difficult to understand sometimes. she also doesnt outline her expectations really well.

Alario does have a thick Spanish accent and in addition, her handwriting is barely legible. Her tests are not too difficult if you scribble down whatever she scribbles on the board. She loves to play with her hair.

Alario is NOT as bad as everyone thinks she is. She expects students that are taking 300 level classes to be prepared and ready to create discussion. Those who slack, she does not have time for, but those who are willing to put in effort she's definitely willing to help out. The book is terrible, but the tests are exactly what we review and are basically the same test with maybe one additional question. The group presentation was easy and if you don't feel like coming to class for a movie, just rent it. Alario is very intelligent and is a good professor.
