Margarita Alario

Alario is a different type of teacher. My fellow classmates and I never knew what to expect on the tests (my advice is don't bother reading the book...focus only on what she says in class and vocab) I barely tried and always felt overly prepared. The good thing is you get to watch two movies. I pulled off an A without trying. She claims she grades hard, but I didn't think she did especially on the written assignments.

For real., she is a terrible professor... (keep in mind that I am a slacker frat boy)... She is hard to understand and even harder to look at. I failed.

She looks EXACTLY like Don King

She is pretty whimsy, meaning unorganized and doesn't remember anything from even her own syllybus. She is confusing to the max. Her tests are worth like 20 % but are only 20 questions, so if you get even 3 wrong you get an 85% already. I mean if you study you can do well, the other things you have to do for the class are very easy. Just be careful of the tests, and always read your syllabus.

I think that her class is pretty easy and you don't have to study a ton for tests. One thing that really bothers me is the fact that she really doesn't seem to care about the class or the students. She is very unorganized and I ended up with the wrong grade because she gave me a 0 on a project that I presented in class. I wouldn't think it would be so hard to keep track of grades. When you know you have a ton of students, keep better track than writing them down in a little notebook.
