A lot of people in my class didn't seem to care for him. I really liked him though. I thought he was funny and entertaining, and I got A's in all three classes I have had with him with just a minimal amount of effort. He really knows the subject and is willing to help any student in any way.

This was the first foreign language class that I had taken at the college level. All other german classes I had were in high school. I basically pulled off an 'A' in this class from prior knowledge. I seriously credit my 'A' to my high school AP german teacher. I can see how it would be extremely difficult for a student who is just going through the levels of german in college to get lost in this class. The professor pretty much expects you to know the information and treats class like a quick review. His tests were all grammar tests, but he spent 95% of class reading. The essays were graded fairly, and he gave extra points for corrections. I wouldn't recommend taking this class and expecting an 'A' if you don't have a good understanding of the language from prior courses. If you do, then take this class because it will be a breeze and a good review.
