I still remember Dr. Allsen as the best professor I had freshman year. I had to talk to him about a grade he had recorded wrong on d2L about a week before finals, and since i was sooo close to get an A in the class he told me very sternly to not waste my time studying for the final because i only needed to get 4 out of 50 questions right. I really appreciated that-not a lot of professors will tell you to not study...

Most definitely take Professor Allsen for World of the Arts. He teaches the class how a general education class should be taught--simple if you put some effort into it. The exams are based straight off of his notes that he gives on Powerpoints in class. He is also a very easy grader for arts reviews, a major portion of the semester grade. This class is overly easy. I did not even take the final exam in this course, and I still got a 93.75% for the semester. If you need to take WOTA, which you do need to, take Allsen.

Oh my god!!! you will love him if you take his WOTA class. i had him for WOTA and it was great even though i didnt do good on my exam. i still end up getting a B. he doesn't check attendance, but you will have to go to classes to get the notes because test are all from the notes. if you also do all the assignments and reviews you should be able to get an A or B in his class. Great prof.

Prof. Allsen is who you want to take if you are taking WOTA. He has a love for what he is doing, and talking about. Do the assignments, and reviews. Get an A.
