Prof. Miller tends to be the central person in class discussions, not letting others particiapte or share their ideas until he has had his say. He talks in circles, and his assignments are no better. He is unclear as to what he expects and give minimal feedback. He also tends to play favorites with students he either likes or has had in past semesters.
Positive:
Is interesting/entertaining/funny
Is challenging
Is creative
Brings discussion into the classroom
Shows a great knowledge of subject matter
Has enthusiasm in the classroom
Negative:
Expectations are unclear or lofty
Makes class too challenging
I had this prof for two semesters straight, I would definately reccomend this professor for english 101 and 102. Just imagine that I had english 101 as a night class and I -never- fell asleep. Thats gotta be a damn good teacher to be able to keep me up for an english nightclass. Only downside is that sometimes he asks the same question twice or overanalyzes his questions. but other than that, he is an awesome prof. highly reccomend!
