Molly Patterson

Professor Patterson is one of the best professors I have had on campus and even within the history department. She shows a great love for her subject and for teaching. She is more than willing to work with students to help them succeed. Some content can be challenging and with this she does her best to make these topics understandable. I would definitely recommend taking her.

She is ok, but not the best ever. I had for a middle eastern film class. You watch movies, take tets on the movies and readings, and two papers. Majority of the films are long drawn out and boring. She does know alot about the subject but tries to force to much info into a small time frame. When she gives lectures it alsmot seems like she is afraid of the class. Papers are easy, exams are easy if you watch the films and do the readings. Easy classs but she makes it harderthan it needs to be. If you want a Easy A or B take her/this class.

Molly Patterson is a very sweet and kind person who shows a real emotional attachment and passion in the subjects she teaches. She knows what she is talking about because she's traveled a lot and has her doctorate. So she's not coming at you with some book-warm knowledge, she knows the real world. She's fun, she's engaging and I recommend her to anyone as a teacher. I was a difficult student because I'd always challenge her and give her tough questions. She would always welcome new ideas and discussion and was never judgmental of people. I had her for Modern Middle Eastern History and it was tough because we went through a few thousand years of history in only a semester. She's demanding because you have long chapters to read, but the book is very good. Looking back, I learned so much about the world that her class was very beneficial. Once again, I recommend her without a doubt!

Prof. Patterson is one of the best professors I have had! She is always willing to help students whenever they need help and is very organized during lectures. She is also extremely nice and very approachable if you have questions. She has a great understanding of her subject matter and her tests are not difficult at all as long as you study. She does seem nervous at times when presenting material, but this is her first year as a professor, so it is expected. You will come out of this class with a great understanding of the material she teaches.

class is easy. She assigns readings for every class and lectures. There are few test (2) and few quizes. Both are easy. SHe is very nice and inderstanding.
