She seems really cool and interesting at frist, but then towards the end of the year she got really mean and cranky and said we were the worst class shes ever had, similar to the other post. Her tests are rediculous, im normally an A/B test taker and i manage to get a D on both tests, along with the majority of the class. Her excuse to it is that if you get a 0 on both exams and 100% on all speaches you pass the class with a 70, but thats bad for people that dont take the class pass/fail. I know the highest grade for the first exam was an 85. If you take her as a teacher, take it as a pass fail, otherwise she will bring down you GPA.
She was pretty awesome at the beginning of the semester, but towards the end it was quite obvious she didn't like us. She's not afraid to make fun of you, so if you have thin skin, she's probably not for you. Her tests are pretty tough. But, I took the class as pass/fail and failed both tests and still ended up with a pass. Just make sure you attend class and put some effort into the speeches. Speeches are outlined very clearly in a rubric, so you know exactly what you have to do.
Positive:
Is challenging
Brings discussion into the classroom
Shows a great knowledge of subject matter
Involves students in every lecture
Has enthusiasm in the classroom
Comes to class organized
Negative:
Overly difficult tests or assignments
Her tests are harder than she thinks they are, so study everything, even pie charts! I wasn't looking forward to speech, but she usually let our night class out half an hour early.

I wasn't really looking forward to taking speech class, but she made it really easy. She doesn't do any spontaneous speeches. I took this as a night class, which I'm pretty sure is the only time she teaches, but she really made the time go by fast. She's pretty young, so she's easy to relate too. The actual midterm was pretty hard, but she curves it, so it's fine. Overall, she's a good teacher and I recommended her.
