Professors: Respond to evaluations by creating an account
Science methods with Professor Yang is BY FAR the WORST class I have ever taken at Whitewater. She does not know how to teach science and I spent the whole semester frustrated out of my mind (along with the rest of the class.) It is one day until the end of the semester and I have absolutely NO IDEA what grade I am going to get in the class because she is THAT disorganized. If there is any other way that you could take another professor, I would!
Positive:
Negative:
Is a bad professor
Would not recommend this professor
Confusing or hard to understand
Expectations are unclear or lofty
Overly difficult tests or assignments
Notes/lecture is confusing
Needs to involve students in class discussions
Lacks enthusiasm in the classroom
Makes class too challenging
Poor sense of humor
Professor does not relate to students
Worst professors I've ever had!
My biggest complaint about Yang is that her accent just makes her difficult to understand. This leads to a huge communication gap between her and the class. Yang is very knowledgable about science, but I do not think she's a great professor for teaching elementary science methods. Yang expects you to teach young students very advanced concepts. The beginning of the semester is filled with ridiculously long assignments, but class doesn't meet for over a month in order to give groups time to prepare for teaching. Yang is not the worst professor, but she's certainly not the best either.
