Partrick O'halloran

New professor teaching a crappy subject. But, there were so many opportunities to make class somewhat interesting. I am not sure if I ever stayed awake a full class period. Aside from detesting the subject matter, this professor still needs to learn a thing or two about being up there instead of in the desks.

Can you say boring? But hey, he's new. Oh well, i'll bring my pillow next time too.

This guy is absolutely horrible. You would think that a professor who was preparing for class would make sure that he had his examples well spelled out. No, this guy screws up the problems and then has to backtrack, wasting time, trying to find his mistake. He tries to rush through material, and often times catches his tongue because he's talking so fast, and slaps himself in the face. Instructions on what exactly he was going to be collecting for assignments and WHEN he'd be collecting them were vague and unclear, and his tests consisted of only 25 questions - including the final - so after a few errors you were down a grade. He also states on his syllabus that there's "no such thing as an excused absence". What the heck? I'm sorry, but there ARE situations where absence is necessary buddy.

Contrary to popular belief, Mr. O'Halloran is a good professor. He is rather new at the teaching game, but he'll get better with time. As for where he came from? He taught where I just transferred from - UW-Waukesha. This is NOT a total newbie we're dealing with. I know the guy - he means well and will get better.

ok morons, take Kashian (how is this guy rated so high?) for micro and then take O'halloran for macro, the difference is amazing. I actually understand economics with half of the studying i needed for kashian's class, Unlike Kashian he comes overprepared for class and usually only covers half of what he wants to get done in class. May have been a sprinter in a former life because he paces faster and more than anyone i've ever seen. What he covers in class he tests you on, its just as easy as going to class.
