Professor Baus is an awesome guy, but that doesn't make him an awesome professor. His lectures are solely PowerPoint based, and he writes random notes on the board every so often. He uses very many pointless acronyms, such as "NCBD" (which stood for Nothing Can Be Done) to keep the listener engaged and paying attention. I don't believe that this is effective at all. He gives a study sheet for his exams, but the questions on the actual exams cover about 4x more information then is told to prepare for from the study sheet. The questions on these exams are also extremely wordy and lengthy. The first one, I didn't study much and I got a 63 percent. The second one, I studied for days and I still got a 63 percent. His essays are simple and easy to score full points on, but they don't account for very many points. Overall, I felt that each class was boring, not engaging, and that I learned minimal information from it's entirety. Professor Baus gets an A as a person, but a D as an educator.

Ray is a great guy- psychology of speech is a very fun and interesting class, but it is tough....

Ray Baus is the best professor i have ever had...Yes the class is challenging, but he makes it fun for all! Granted the tests are hard, but it is not impossible to get an A in there...and no i didn't get an A...so there you go..who doesnt love him?
