Professor Shrum is a really great teacher and coming in as a freshman she makes it easy for you to succeed. Alot of her film class was conducted in discussions on D2L. Her test consist of a half multiple choice and half short answer portions. She is always willing to help and responds to e-mails very quickly. She is from the south so her lectures do tend to focus there a bit more but that can be a good thing since coming from the north we as student usually learned more about the north than the south. Therefore you get a different perspective that you normally don't get about history if you live in the north.Overall she is a great professor!

Negative:
Your grade is 50% of what you get on the midterm and final exam. 25% is based on four (4) analytical papers you must due; they must be at least 500 words each. 15% is based on a book that you have to read outside of class; that must be at least 1000 words. The other 10% is attendence and participation.
