Regis Lecoanet

I love love love love LOVE Regis. He is the best french teacher I have ever had. He keeps class exciting and there is never a dull moment. I personally love his teaching style, but I know a few who don't. He really makes you think and in his own way makes sure the information sticks with you. He is a blast and wants all of his students to do well. He says not to worry about your grade and you can trust him on that. The idea of betting your points in the class can seem pretty scary at first, but you'll get the hang of it and possibly go into a test with 50+ points of extra credit. I will for sure be taking Regis again next year and would recommend him for anybody interested in learning french and possibly not interested in learning french just because he is that awesome.

There are 3 unit tests. Of those, he averages the highest two (lowest one is dropped). You can either accept that average or take the final. Of those two, whichever is the highest is your class grade. HOWEVER, he can be hard to understand at times. He has a really bad sense of humor, he may pick on you, he may not understand you, but I think he just does it cause he's bored (taught for 25yrs). Classes are very unorganised and your syllabus will never be accurate. Show up for class, ask questions that you have, understand the material and you'll do great. Or just just show up for the 3, or 2 if you're lazy, unit exams and live from that. I'd recommend him for the easiness. **You also don't have to waste $$$ to buy the workbook. He doesn't use it.**

"wanna bet?" - if you took the class you'll get that quote. this guy is crazy. no joke. He's intimidating at first but u get used to him. attendence is not a big issue and you don't turn in homework, you just go over it in class so you really don't have to do it. he takes forever to go over assignments and can get weeks behind schedule. its not a bad thing for some people i just felt like i didn't learn a lot and it was a waste of my time to be there...so i skipped a lot. also a lot of the time he wont answer your question unless you bet him points - you literally have to bet him ur points by slapping his hand. that's crap cuz if ur wrong u loose points but if you don't bet him he wont tell u ur wrong or tell u the right answer.

This man is not for the weaklings out there.
