terrible, terrible, terrible. Words can't describe how bad she is. I am 4.0 student and going to end up with a C in her class because I am not a "favorite" of hers. I am putting more effort into this class than any other classes I am in right now (calculus) and no matter what I do she rejects my designs and basically says they are garbage and then does not give me any direction on where to take my projects. Stay away from melton... at all costs.

Melton is a total bitch. She picks favorites right off the bat and loves all of their work, and if for some reason you aren't a favorite, kiss your grade goodbye. She heavily criticizes all your work and doesn't really give you a new direction to go. definitely the worst professor i've ever had. bottom line, she is a thunder cunt and i hope and pray that you don't have to take her. avoid her at all costs.

She is always late to class. Im not paying for a class that i don't get the full benefit from! She likes to pick favorites in class and then singles out people who she doesn't like. Even tho it sees like she in fact knows what she is talking about she is terrible at telling you how to improve your work. She is a overall mean person when you get to know her and her true colors show.!

Besides the fact that she is late all the time with normal classes she is just a poor teacher. With my independent she was not helpful at all and just blew me off when trying to receive help and i am a good student and designer! She is just a poor teacher and cant convey ideas to students but can grade work if you want to have some analyze you without getting feedback you can use.

This teacher knew her subject matter well but placed too much weight on research than on the actual project or critique. She did not give us enough time for the actual artwork to be created and was not very cool about late work or helping students outside of class. If you missed a class or two you're pretty much screwed. She had EXTREMELY high expectations and she played favorites. She was organized though, and did introduce her students to new techniques and media.
