Richard Lombard

Prof Lombard was/is the best professor and/or teacher I have ever had in my life, I have never met someone so inspirational in my life. He has made me realize what I want to do with my life and how to become a better person. I am truly sorry for anyone who has not been able to take Prof Lombard since this semester he is retiring BUT you can still take his 490 workshop camping class with him, if you have not already heard amazing things, it is an college experience you can not miss!

Lombard is great! I had him in the summer in a more 'intimate' setting since there was only 14 of us in his class. He gives tons of personal experiences and shows example videos of topics. Makes things much easier to understand. He also gives open book, open note exams!!! No way can you get anything less than an 'A' in this class!!!!

He is THE one to take for SpecEd 205. Over half of every class is spent in a discussion-- this was my largest class as a lecture of about 100, yet it seemed like the most intimate class setting. He will always keep your attention and has so much experience in his subject that he could tell personal stories all semester and you'd still learn everything you need to know. The tests can be a little tricky, but they are all open book and open note, so it isn't that bad. He's a great guy with a great sense of humor and if you like fun class discussions (who doesn't?) take him. I walked away from this class having learned a lot. Very valuable class and professor.

Interesting guy..tons of stories. This guy has been everywhere and done it all! My only complaint is that I don't feel we spend much time on the material, because when we take exams, it seems like none of the questions were covered in class, so it is a good thing exams are open book I guess. It would just be nice if there was stuff we covered in class on exams. He also wrapped his newborn daughter in tin foil twenty years ago or something...definetely a good professor though and he assigns a book report. Don't worry it is not like the traditional book report you did in high school...it is way better and you will not mind doing it-trust me. The books are all great reads and all you have to do is take five quotes and write about why chose them...
