Professor Pierson is amazing. At first, I thought I was going to hate him, but by the end of the year I didn't want to leave. He doesnt collect the homework, his grades are based off of 9 tests and the cumulative final. Attendance is mandatory, and there are tests every other thursday, but theyre not difficult. The class itself was easy, and his class is usually boring so find something else to do or else you might fall asleep. I played calculator games everyday and then went home and practiced later in the day for a little while and i did fine. He said that he took away one letter grade every three classes that you skip (1/3 every time) but i missed like five classes and still got an A. I also thought i did horrible on the final, and got an A. I am going to miss Professor Pierson and if you get the chance, you should take him. He is funny and very personable. He gets to know you for you, not just another person in the class. HE IS AWESOME!

sure this guy is funny at times (he cracks the cornyest jokes ever) does that really matter when its hard to understand him and he writes the problem wrong on the board and you have to yell at him to change it! He does give out alot of homework but dosent check it ever! but then goes over it the next day in class which can be good

He would get to know students on a personal level and was very interesting and made learning fun and easy!!

First of all I absolutely SUCK! at math. I am a poor test taker and a slow learner. This professor has to be the best professor ever because I got an A in his class. His tests are so easy even for me, as long as you pay a little attention to what has says in class. He goes over everything several times to make sure people understand. He never grades your assignments, but he assigns them so you can practice at home. He is a funny and very kind old man that wants to see his students get good grades.

Assigns a lot of homework but never checks it. Tests are short and easy as well. He is always asking if it is alright if he can show the class how to do a problem on the board
