Mr Avellaneda is one of the best teachers i have ever had and yes i agree he can be difficult at times but it is because he really cares about our education.He has inspired me to reach my goals and to work hard because you earn the grade, it does not get handed to you. Go 2k9!!!!

I haven't had Mr. Avellaneda as a Professor at a University level but I have had him for a seventh and eighth grade spanish teacher at Community Day Charter Public School . He is one of the few people that has opened my eyes to the world around us. He talks about our futures and how we can make a difference.Maybe not now since I am only 13 but when I grow up and the only way I can do that is by studying the hardest I can now. Yes I agree that his class is the hardest class I have ever had in my life so far but it has helped me in more than just learning more about spanish. He gives us tests every class and tons of homework but by doing the work I have learned so much about the language I have been speaking since I was an infant.He has motivated me to be the best and to be proud to be a hispanic. I live in a city known for violence and drugs and one of the most important things he has taught me is that the only thing that can get me out of this environment is education. He tells us things that most teachers wouldn't tell their students. Mr. Avellaneda talks to us about politics, important issues, history, his life, and so much more. He makes us laugh in class , he keeps us on our feet, and he tells it like it is. Many students at my school hate or dislike him but Rino Avellaneda is the best teacher I have ever had!

Mr. Avellaneda is one of the hardest teachers i have ver had but that is not neccesarily a bad thing. He teaches very important study methods and always pushes us past our potential. I think that if i worked hard enough he could helpme be one of the best students in the country. Thumbs up!
