The class itself is pretty easy and interesting. He takes attendence so you should go to class. The papers are easy so long as you follow his sometimes complicated format. The quizzes are pretty easy but can take a bit of time to do. The class was really informative and not that boring plus it was fairly easy.

This class is set up to give you an A if you put forth any amount of effort. I liked it because even though it was easy, he made you participate daily and do papers and projects throughout the semester that help you learn the material. You clear up a lot of drug and alcohol myths and learn the truth and effects in this class. I recommend it for all majors because it's a class that everyone needs. The only requirement he has is that you do your work and show up everyday. You get 3 points per class just for showing up, so you shouldn't skip it too often.

Prof. Young is a great guy! The only downfall about this course (Alcohol and Other Drugs) would be that he grades attendance (3 pts per class), but it's worth going every class period! I learned a lot, and he grades very easily if you show effort and fulfill all requirements. He is quite passionate and makes students interested in the subject. I would highly recommend him, and this is an easy A if you need an 3 credit elective class to take!

His assignments require you to put some thought into them, but they are not overly difficult. He is willing to help his students anytime (you can even call him at home). Enjoys what he is teaching and makes learning about alcohol and other drugs fun! I would definitely recommend taking this professor!
