I was somewhat misled by Kashian's reviews before I took his class. My biggest problem with him is that his expectations are unclear. He rambles through lectures hopping around from half-completed problem to the next. We had plenty of busy work throughout the 8 weeks: D2L quizzes, homework assignments, and two exams. For every homework assignment and the first exam (take home), we pretty much had to teach ourselves how to complete them. But, the day they were due, he managed to hand out answers in class. In other words, anyone could skate through the semester. For the final (in-class), he assigned multiple complex problems. We had to memorize all of the solutions and come to the exam with nothing more than a pen or pencil. Unless you took a deep interest in Economics or had a lot of free time, it was difficult. Outside of class, he had trouble answering questions and coming up with correct solutions... yet the students were expected to find the right answers the first time.

This is my second class with Professor Kashian. He is a guaranteed A if you do all of your work. He has 3 take home tests, and gives out take home quizzes before the first two tests. The night before the quizzes are due he emails the answers...this is helpful because you dont have to actually do them, and they are identical to the tests. Some of the test questions are kinda tricky, but if you look up the answers in the book and put down your best guess, he'll give you credit for the attempt. If you dont want to go to class, you really dont have to because the tests are take home, but I found his lectures very funny and interesting. He has a lot of experience and brings his opinions and knowledge to the classroom and asks students for their stories too. I would recommend Professor Kashian to everyone

Easy to relate to, he is straightup with his knowledge of economics, his dry humor doesnt really get old, Very honest teacher that knows econ sucks and helps you with it

If you go to class and listen to the man's quirky stories you will do well. I did very well in this class because of his constant review of the material. it may seem annoying but it helps when it comes to exams. Dont believe his stories what-so-ever but try to take the meaning out of what he is saying. I want him to teach all my classes!

One of my best istractor ever. He is an A grader with little bit easy home taken exams.
