Dr. A is probably one of the best/worst professors I've ever had. You can definitely tell that he loves teaching chemistry and he teaches information that the book doesn't have. He doesn't explain things well in a group, but if you can get him alone to give you direct examples it is easier for him to relate. He does speak in a monotone, but if you pay attention he does try to give you examples of molecules to make it easier for you to visualize what he's trying to teach. Although the material is hard, if you take the time to study the material and work on practice problems, you should have no problem passing the class. I came into the semester worried that I was going to fail because I heard that it's a hard class, but it's really not even that hard. It sucks that he alwasys schedules the tests and quizzes on Fridays, but really what he teaches you is valuable information. I've found myself recognizing the most mundane things in real life.

His problem is that he knows WAY TOO MUCH STUFF, and he is used to teaching advanced upper level chemsistry courses. He needs to consider that many of the students do not have a background in chemistry. He presents and explains things well, and is willing to help. He also posts a practice exam before the test and has help sessions. He is willing to help in any way that he can. This class just is not what I expected...but it is not awful.

I love Dr. A. He not only cares about what he does but also about his students. A great guy!

I really enjoy his lectures and I am doing really well in his class even though the material is difficult. I would totally recoment Dr. Anderson!

Dr. A is my all time favorite professor, he makes learning chemistry fun. He really cares about his students.
