I second the dirty toilet comment. This is one of the most boring classes I have ever taken. If you enjoy memorizing defs word for word this is your class. Woest class discussions and tests in the world. I'd rather pound my haed against the wall then take another class with him.

If you would like to take up self-mutilation, take this class, because that might actually keep you awake, but neither of the options will make you a more knowledgeable person.

Zzzzzz. Teaches bullshit; how can people get an A in the class? I could have learned as much looking at a dirty toilet.

He brings some great hands-on experience to the table, but he has such a monotone voice that it's so difficult to pay any attention to what he's saying. He tries to involve students but since we all just repeat practically verbatum what answers we found in the book, it isn't really a discussion. His grading on the essay exams seems also kind of sketchy and random.

In the first day of class, he said that his exams wouldn't be multiple choice because he didn't want us to memorize concepts, but rather apply them. So when I took his first exam, all his questions were definitions and one long essay. He takes points off for every little mistake. To get full points in one question, you have to answer like in the book. He is very arrogant also. If you want to discuss a grade that you received in the exam, you can only do it by writing to him, if you go up to him and try to discuss the grade, he will probably tell you to write a nice letter complaining about the grade. In a 35 people class, in the first exam, less than 5 people got A and he didn't curve. His classes are also boring. I don't recommend him at all.
