Trudi Witonsky
University of Wisconsin - Whitewater
Department:
English/Literature
Professors: Respond to evaluations by creating an account
I did not enjoy her class, but she is overall a pretty good professor. She has a funny laugh that gets annoying after a while because she laughs about nothing. She takes WAY to long to grade papers, a few of them almost took a month. Everyone thinks she is a hard grader, but I felt that she was a pretty easy grader. She also gives you a few easy extra credit opportunities. I personally would not take her again, but I would recommend her.
Trudi Witonsky has a fabulous personality, and she is very easy to talk to if you need any help with your assignments. As all the other comments suggest though, it literally is almost impossible to recieve an "A" on a paper. Whether you are an English major or you despise the subject, you will most likely get a "B" on everything. I also don't feel like I gained any new knowledge out of this class. Yes, we had to write a 8+ page research paper, but we weren't "taught" how to do it--just told to write it and hand it in.
Positive:
Good professor.
Is challenging
Is willing to help students anytime
Shows a love of teaching
Has enthusiasm in the classroom
Negative:
Overly difficult tests or assignments
Makes class too challenging
Trudi's personality is great, however, her greading is'nt. Papers are graded rediculously hard. I thought i was one of the better writers in the class, but apparently not. She also deducts points for being late, truent, or for not participating in classes (big one). Her laugh is great, but her grading is not. Take trudy if you don't mind not getting an "a".
Positive:
Is interesting/entertaining/funny
Brings discussion into the classroom
Involves students in every lecture
Negative:
Confusing or hard to understand
Notes/lecture is confusing
Makes class too challenging
Trudi is the best ever! She can be really hard but is totally worth it. Be sure to spend lots of time on papers because she is a harsh grader but it improves your writing so much! Also, anytime she laughs, laugh, its adorable!

Every year since I was in English I got an A. I was in AP English my senior year and wrote A+ papers. In her class I got C papers and barely got a B! She never clearly states what she expects and when you ask questions she offers too much advice. Sadly, I used her advice and she did not even give me a better grade! She acts really nice and you would think she is a decent grader, but she is awful!
