Zhang Xaiohong

I've had her twice now and can clearly say that she is a terrible teacher. I have had her for two Multimedia classes, which were computer based, and she is just painful to watch use a computer. She is unclear about what she wants in assignments and has a terrible sense of design. She tends to like things that I find very beginner level (like using a ton of filters). She doesn't know the programs well enough and she teaches from tutorials, which are probably her best choice because she ends up being extremely confusing when she tries and teach us without them. She'll change her mind on how she feels about your work, sometimes even after she tells you your grade. I talked to her about changing my grade, which I got her to agree upon, but since then I've asked about 10 times over 3 months and I haven't gotten it fixed. If you can avoid her, awesome, but if you can't, you will have to suffer through. Too bad she is protected by her ten year...

sadly, if your a multi minor or major you are forced to have this professor. she is by far the worst and any student i've talked to that has had her feels the same way. i even know people that tried to get her fired but she has her 10 year...who knows how. the only reason she gets a D on coolness is because it she is easy to make fun of.

She teaches out right out of tutorial books that you can buy yourself. You most likely could teach your self better. Students tend to correct her when she messes up. When she talks about any girls, she always says "he". her english is very poor. her project are strange and backwards. she doesnt tell you up front what she wants until the very last minute before your project is due. she tends to think most students are stupid and not educated enough in the art dept. she is horrible. she tends to tell students that they will fail often. If you miss classes during the first weeks of class she will tell you that you will fail if you miss class again. For 7:45 classes, she shows up like 20 min late every time and will get mad at yo if you show up late. if you have to take her, Im sorry...she sucks!
