Dear Ross,
I am dating a guy who is driving me mad. He is lazy, only showers when the EPA people turn up, and expects me to pick up after him all the time. When his drinking buddies are around he treats me like a slave and thinks grabbing my breasts whilst making a honking noise is hilarious. Deep down he is a really nice person and I don’t want to dump him, but I can’t go on with him treating me like this. Please can you help me?

I have seen this kind of behavior on many occasions. Your man has grown up thinking that anything he throws on the floor will be dealt with by the Housekeeping Fairy, i.e. his mother.
Now that he’s left home, he is obviously treating you in exactly the same way – apart from the breast grabbing, I hope! You need to tell him that this is unacceptable and, if he doesn’t start pulling his weight, then you’re out of there. Oh, and next time his buddies are there, grab his balls and squeeze ‘em like a stress toy. Remember to make a honking noise – that’ll be hi-larious!
