Overall he was a good teacher. The class was pretty easy for the most part. You have to write in a journal every week which sucked. He graded the papers somewhat hard but he gives you the chance to make corrections and resubmit it. You can easily come away with at least a B.

Bob is a wonderful man, and will go out of his way for his students. He loves his job and shows it. If you put in the effort you can pull off an 'A' in the course, by re-typing papers and showing improvement. In this aspect, he is the true definition of a "teacher." Recommended for 254/354.

I think Bob is a good guy but I would not recommend taking 230A. I like Shakespeare and understand it fine but I don't have the time to devote to so much reading. Covering a play a week, you have to devote 2hrs a day just to read the material. If you have the time great, otherwise I would try to find something else.

bob is a great guy and a good professor. the class isn't very challenging although if you take it to improve your writing, it will help.

At the beginning of the year, Professor Milliken told us, "I'm all about fun and easy." He definately is. A very fun guy, he picked really good works for us to read and I felt his expectations were very, very appropriate. He even cancelled our final paper. It's hard to argue with a teacher like that! Great guy, makes class very enjoyable.

Main problem - the lit class seemed more like an elementary-school class than a college class! Otherwise, a nice guy, an okay class...you just get treated like a kid!

Bob is an awesome composition teacher, take him if at all possible for 254 or 354. However, as a literature professor he expects large volumes of reading and doesn't cover much of the text at all.

I really liked this guy. Taking composition classes with Robert is good because he pushes you to do well, but doesn't grade you harshly if you have a different vision than he does.

This class is quite pointless. The only thing he teaches is to avoid passive voice, to use more dialogue, and to describe more. There you go, now you don't need to take his class. He teaches nothing in his lectures but is excellent in pointing out the obvious. His paper comments are very constructive. Unless your looking for a writing class for idiots, don't bother wasting your time with this class.

Prof. Milliken is awesome!! He assigns papers like three weeks in advance and grades them very easily!! There are NO tests, quizzes, or final exams. I would highly, highly, recommend him! He will make you enjoy actually writing!
